The Cisco SPA501G is a basic eight-line SIP business IP phone with paper-label line buttons, a two-port Ethernet switch and Power over Ethernet. It suits offices that want dependable multi-line desk phones without a display, such as shared work areas, warehouses and front-desk overflow stations.

  • Eight voice lines with four independent SIP registrations (SIP mode); paper label insert beside the line buttons to mark speed dials, shared lines or extensions
  • No LCD display: the user interface is driven by Interactive Voice Response (IVR), reached through the Settings button
  • Wideband audio; codecs G.722, G.711 (A-law and u-law), G.726 (16/24/32/40 kbps) and G.729A
  • Built-in high-quality speakerphone and microphone; handset with RJ-9 connector
  • Two 10/100BASE-T RJ-45 Ethernet ports with integrated switch; 802.3af-compliant PoE (optional Cisco PA100 5 V power adapter sold separately)
  • 2.5 mm headset jack
  • Supports up to two Cisco SPA500S Expansion Modules, adding 64 buttons (SIP mode)
  • Hard keys: standard 12-button dialing pad; dedicated keys for redial, cancel, conference and transfer; hold, voicemail retrieval and settings buttons; volume rocker; illuminated mute, headset and speakerphone buttons; message waiting LED
  • Shared line appearance, attended and blind transfer, three-way conferencing with local mixing, call forwarding, do not disturb, 60-entry call logs and a 100-entry personal directory
  • Security and provisioning: SIP over TLS, SRTP, HTTPS with factory-installed client certificate, up to 256-bit AES; automated remote provisioning and upgrade via HTTPS, HTTP and TFTP; VLAN tagging 802.1p/Q; STUN NAT traversal
